Sanofi has had a long-term working relationship with Camfil Air Pollution Control (APC). As a result, when Sanofi required a new dust collector for one of their packaging lines they turned to Camfil APC to provide the best solution.
There were several issues with previous dust collector serving the packaging line. Extraction was poor and the filtration efficiency was unacceptable leading to excessive amounts of dust being entering the exhaust air. Maintenance also presented a challenge as the filters were difficult to access and awkward to change. Furthermore, operations had to be frequently shut down for more than 3 hours at a time in order to change the filter cartridges.
Dust removal is quick and simple with the rotary valve which discharges to a heavy-duty plastic bag.
Camfil APC‘s solution was to supply and install their superior GS02 Gold Series® industrial dust collector complete with the revolutionary HemiPleat® Gold Cone® filter cartridges, integrated high-performance fan and rotary valve discharge.
This excellent system provides very effective extraction from the packaging line whilst the high efficiency of the HemiPleat® Gold Cone® cartridges prevents dust from the process from entering the exhaust air system.
The ease of maintenance associated with the Gold Series dust collector is one of its strongest points and ensures that filter changes are now fast and trouble-free, and can be carried out in a matter of minutes instead of hours.
The new rotary valve discharges to a heavy-duty plastic bag, thus making dust removal quick and simple.
